An effort to distract visitor’s attention from their routine by arranging the order of form and space of a restaurant in the hope of making the abandoned place lively again.
The site is located in Kenjeran, a leisure area that used to be crowded years ago. For now, Kenjeran is “abandoned” due to its lack of changes and maintenance. People get bored over time and go somewhere new and developing. They only go to Kenjeran for some routines, like going to the gym or temple.
With this new restaurant and shelters arranged to a specific order of form and space, we hope that people who go to Kenjeran for just the routine will get distracted by the new building and explore it inside. Therefore, people will start to get curious and go to Kenjeran again.
